Block Party’s 3 Year Anniversary Party!

3 year anniversary picture

Come celebrate our 3 year anniversary at our Downtown location during the First Friday Trolley Hop!

We will be featuring one of our first artists Bethany Nixon from RewareVintage.com – she is visiting all the way from Detroit to come party with us and is bringing her best vintage goodies!

Reware Vintage’s curated T shirts and apparel will transport you back to the 70s, 80s and 90s! They’ve got your new favorite tour T shirt, your go-to dress and even your kids covered, from X-Small to 3X. When vintage finds could use a little crafty love for modern life, they make vintage records into jewelry, books into new notebooks, or embroider record jackets to make one-of-a-kind artwork.

Bethany will be on site to help style you and answer any of your vintage questions on Friday during the hop!

We will also have confetti, balloons, cake, DJ dance party, and more!!! Come ready to party with us!

Galentine’s Day Celebration

Galentine's Day image low res

Go ahead, ladies. Celebrate your romance on Valentine’s Day. But save Galentine’s Day for your female friends. The “ladies celebrating ladies” holiday honors friendships between women and was first introduced by Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope in a 2010 episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation.

Traditionally this takes place on February 13th but we will be celebrating on February 12th.

Men are welcome as well but we encourage you to grab your bestie and come celebrate your favorite ladies! We will have female bands playing, Valentine’s Day gifts and merchandise, new artwork themed for feminist icons, AND in the studio in the back we will have a DIY waffle station and DIY galentines day card station!

The event will start at 6pm where you can come in, grab a waffle, and listen to some sweet DJ tunes of lady artists by DJ Shred/Destroy, who will be playing in between sets.

Hoe Garden – playing 7:30pm-8:00pm, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini Kill plays 8:30-9:00pm.

Our art exhibition will feature special new feminist themed artwork and craft from local female artists Shalan D. McGrinder, Brittney McCormick (Miss Happy Pink), Jenn Meyers from Sinisters, Sarah Essing, Melissa Bracken, Amy Dalrymple, Mary Levinsky, Jessica Bledsoe, April Boyd, and Kayla Allinger.

We will be partnering with Gretchen Bell from Fleur Design Studio who will be selling unique floral bouquets. We will also be partnering with FEVA – Fair Event Vendor’s Alliance, and the Louisville Outskirts Festival.

We are proud to be a female owned business and love to support female artists! Bring your girl gang out and support your local creative community! No cover!
