Join us for our Louisville Photo Biennial Reception celebrating new work by Amber Estes Thieneman. The reception will be on Friday September 25 from 5:30-8:30PM at Block Party Handmade Boutique’s downtown location.
This body of work is collaboration between artist and viewer. Each original photograph of nature has elements of reflection and is printed on aluminum. Participation requires you, the viewer, to record your perception of the image in an accompanying book. This can be in the form of a title, a mini-story, a memory, etc.
The show will be up through October 31st.
Last Friday, during the First Friday Trolley Hop, we hosted an opening reception for our current exhibition Typography is Art. This shows celebrates the art of well designed typography, both computer generated and hand lettering. It includes some great local artists such as Brandon Bass, Margaret Beagle, Justin Kamerer, Michael Powell, Lindsey Spencer, Leo Gomez, and Neil Cleary-Trask.
This exhibition will be on display through the end of September so come on downtown and pick up some local artwork for your home!
